Is this what the progressive arsenal has been reduced to?
Seems the latest McCain story is that he called his wife the “C” word !
And of course according the increasingly delusional nutroots this also means Republicans “really hate brown people and the poor and the gays and the disabled”
MyDD :: McCain Insulted Wife In Front of Press, Aides
We always knew that Republicans were jerks, but they often do such a good job of mugging for the cameras that it’s hard to get that story out to the public. Oh, come on, people say, do they really hate brown people and the poor and the gays and the disabled? Yeah, they do. But from Newt Gingrich to Rudi Giuliani, they also tend to hate on their wives, those lumps in the bed next to them, which I guess is just the natural consequence of being misogynist creeps. It’s also an easy point of character reference for the body politic, which is perhaps why the press has so delicately refrained from pointing out what terrible spouses so many of these wingnuts really are. And being a jerk in public to your spouse, humiliating them, the person who will put up with more crap from you than anyone in your life besides your parents, that’s just beyond the pale.
Are the nutrootls like MYDD really this stupid, claiming republicans as a whole are “terrible spouses”… to forget that one of their candidates is one of the most publicly cheated on woman in the world and the possible future “First Gentleman” is lying, cigar twirling philanderer.
And of course, Marcy Wheeler, one of the more pretentious, self righteous and arrogant snobs of the nutroot-O-sphere drags John McCain’s daughter into this.

Seems Republican Veterans running for office don’t fit the liberal main stream media agenda.
PoughkeepsieJournal.com - Lalor says Iraq veterans running for GOP are ignored
WASHINGTON — Peekskill resident Kieran Lalor says the 17 Republican congressional candidates who are Iraq veterans and support the war aren’t getting the attention they deserve in an election cycle dominated by the presidential race. The GOP field is three times as large as the group of six anti-war Iraq veterans who received national attention when they ran for Congress as Democrats two years ago, Lalor said.
One commentor on the article takes Democrat opportunist nutroot favorite John Hall to task;
John Hall has prided himself in working for the plight of veterans.
However, his support for the heroic Veterans seems somewhat questionable in the big picture. He supports Veterans yet undermines the effort of current military personnel by favoring immediate withdrawal in Iraq.
John Hall has failed to perform on his campaign promise to push for immediate withdrawal. Instead, he has been a puppet for left wing fringe groups who believe the Iraq war is the worse thing ever to happen in history by constantly passing on anti-war moveon.org talking points. Immediate Withdrawal is his mantra, yet only 20% of Americans favor such a hastily planned approach. Now, John Hall is moving a bit away from a cut and run mentality. This should upset some the left wing cut and run fanatics…
John Hall, like the rest of Democratic controlled congress, failed to end the war in Iraq. The war will continue and troops will be withdrawn, but like other parts of the world in which the U.S. toppled brutal dictators, the U.S. will remain there for a long time to come to ensure that the people of Iraq can experience liberty and freedom–not rape and torture rooms run by a tyrannical dictator.
So, if it was up to John Hall, a troop withdrawal would begin compromising the progress in Iraq. This would give way and make Iraq a bigger breeding ground for terrorism. John Hall likes cutting and running from tough situations that call for leadership and bravery in the ideal of liberty and freedom. His roots of cutting and running goes decades back to when he apparently dodged the draft…to become a ski instructor!
The credence of this story is questionable, however John Hall can answer whether or not he decided to teach skiing instead of rising to the call of duty and serving his Country (no matter how unjust the Vietnam may have been).
Duty. Honor, and Country. This is something John Hall knows little of…however he does know something about skiing apparently.
