Dockworkers Protest Iraq War - New York Times

Thousands of dockworkers at West Coast ports stayed off the job on Thursday in what their union said was a call for an end to the war in Iraq.

The International Longshore and Warehouse Union said more than 25,000 members in 29 ports stayed off the job. The action came despite an order issued Wednesday by an arbitrator directing the union to tell its members to report for work as usual in response to a request from employers.

“Longshore workers are standing down on the job and standing up for America,” Bob McEllrath, the union’s president, said in a statement. “We’re supporting the troops and telling politicians in Washington that it’s time to end the war in Iraq.”

The Headmaster and Hero of sites like “Newshounds” and “Brave New Films” Robert Greenwald tries to tell the American People that keeping American Businesses open is bad.

I won’t get into his obsessive, delusional Fox News derangement syndrome.

Now, you all have probably read this wondering what the heck I’m going on about. You’ve probably never even heard of this guy. Well, with the help of the mainstream media, Mr. Greenwald is trying to establish himself as a more credible, honest version of Michael Moore. His film company is on the left, but tries to play it straight. It is extremely important that we pay attention and don’t let this guy get a pass.

He is a left wing polemicist and his video clearly demonstrates he knows nothing about how the free market works, but he is nonetheless out to undermine it. That just plays into the hands of an all too willing media out to help us forget the teaching points on tax cuts and free markets over the last thirty years.

and as Redstate notes, the White Supremacists have found a new hero in the progressive / leftie, Newshound hero Robert Greenwald. It’s funny to see who the left attracts.

Newsbusters on Ed Schultz’ continued smearing of McCain s a “warmonger”, this time on CNN

Twice, Schultz stated that “the man [McCain] is a warmonger” and used the term a total of five times during the course of the interview. Not only did Schultz defend his remark, he also claimed that McCain mistreated his fellow veterans with his votes on veterans’ benefits.
