So it appears TIME magazine has come out with a “Top 25 Blogs List” and ranks the wingnut hate site ultra right-wing blog Ace of Spades as #10. That’s right, the Pajamas Media Ace of Spades whose two most recent highly informative offerings include calling Jack Murtha a “gold-plated douchebag” and “Barack Hussein Obama’s” (deceased) father a “hardore socialist.”

Firedoglake should watch it as far as dissing’ ACE on traffic and site hits…Ace almost DOUBLES Firedoglake!!

Not understanding how ACE could be on the list but not themselves is exactly the reason liberal blogs like Firedoglake are so out of touch. Ace mixes the truth with almost unmatched snark while the nutroot progressives like Firedoglake pour a steady stream of vitriol, narcissism and temper tantrums onto the keyboard and can’t won’t believe they are not the first blog bookmark in every web browser.

John McCain’s first general election ad began airing today with an ad buy in New Mexico. The ad, whose slogan is “The American president Americans have been waiting for,” is titled “624787,” a reference to the number by which McCain identifies himself in the grainy black and white video taken of him while a POW. As many of his web ads over the course of the primary did, this one creepily exploits his status as a POW to hit us over the head with his war hero credentials.

So now according to Todd Beeton at MYDD being a former POW is a “status” symbol.

It’s funny Beeton complains that McCain is hitting the nutroots “over the head” with his war hero credentials, I guess it does hurt more than being hit over the head with a bag of empty goods, false hope and inexperience that Obama is hitting them with.

OTB also point out that according to DNC Chairman Howard Dean that being a former POW and Military member just makes McCain a “blatant opportunist”.

But don’t forget they ALWAYS support the troops it’s the Missions they loath. Ummmm…nope, they loath both.

While I’m all for transparency on blogs, and have made mistakes corrected by readers, it’s remarkable that Think Progress would allege that the Republican nominee for president plagiarized a speech without putting the two speeches before the campaign for comment. Or, apparently, checking the candidate’s website first.
